Directions:             From Yosemite Valley proper- head west/south on 41 toward Fresno, after 11 miles, (you'll still be within the park), you come to Glacier point turn off, don't take it, 1/8 miles past that turn you'll see a sign for Yosemite West, 100 yds after the sign, take the right turn.   Go 3/4 mile to the first "Y", (they'll be mailboxes on your right), turn/veer right.  At the second Y veer right, at the "T" turn right, follow this road a bit until you come to 7254 on your left.  Its a big three story house with brown trim, sign on balcony that reads: “Hans’ Basecamp”, A big deck in the front has a tree growing up through it., upper driveway is paved, lower not, entrance is on second floor, take your shoes off, and come in. (coming from Fresno or into park on 41:  12 miles after passing Wawona Hotel/resort, you'll see the sign for Yosemite West, you'll turn left into the development and follow the above directions, if you get to the right turn for Glacier point , you went to far.)

notes: We are 14 miles from the Wawona country store, small - has the basics. or we are 15 miles from the Yosemite market, has pretty much anything you might need, produce selection small. So you may want to get any special items you like on your drive in. neither market is open late. 

24 hour Credit card only gas station in Wawona 14 miles away . Last cheap gas coming in 120 is in Oakdale, that's 55 miles from the valley. There is expensive gas 45 and 40 miles from the valley also, on Hwy120. As well as at Crane flat within the park, the gas station at Crane Flat has gone automated, so with a credit card you can get gas anytime.
